Buying online shouldn’t feel rigid or fixed — especially in Nigeria, where bargaining is a normal part of shopping. At Salmart, we’re introducing something that reflects this cultural need while keeping things simple and respectful:

Bargain Mode – an upcoming automated feature that allows buyers and sellers to negotiate prices directly, without long chat conversations.

What Is Bargain Mode?

Bargain Mode is a soon-to-be-launched tool on Salmart that lets a buyer make an offer and get a direct response from the seller — all in a few taps, no lengthy messages needed.

Instead of waiting hours for a reply or going back and forth, the system will:

Let buyers propose a price on eligible items.
Notify the seller instantly to accept, reject, or counter the offer.
Update the product price automatically if both agree.
Keep the whole process smooth and clean inside the chat interface.

Why This Matters

Salmart is built to protect both buyers and sellers, while keeping transactions fast and fair. With Bargain Mode, sellers can still maintain control over pricing, while serious buyers can strike a deal without delay.

When Will It Be Available?

This feature is currently under development and not yet available on the platform. We’re carefully testing and improving it to make sure it works seamlessly when it launches.
